Title says it all. Wanted to advocate beauty in lovely women and girls of african descent and to encourage less stereotyping. I want to go to Japan and I want to represent a better image than the media portrays.
This is a brilliant piece! There is a very striking contrast here with the orange over the black. It works well with the white background too, and of course the impact of the message shines with the crisp and clean clarity presentation. It's a heavy issue to tackle and I think the simple elegance on display here is a perfect fit.
This is really beautiful. You're right too! I think japanese media and other asian media portrays black people in a negative way often times. It's lovely to see such a beautiful way to encourage a better image against that stereotype! I love the contrast and the lovely patterns.
You are so welcome. Oh you have good Japanese friends. I think they are so nice, too. Oh I'm a Japanese, too.. Now we are getting to unite into one in order to cope with the tough time. And we are really thank for people's help from all over the world. I hardly find Japanese friends here in DA. I think maybe it is because of language barrier. when you came to Japan, you'll see so many people don't speak English. So if you speak even a few Japanese, you'll have fun in Japan. I really hope your dream will come to true.
Haha clever BUT I TOTALLY AGREE! <3 that movie SOO much, even though it's been out so long! The story, the plot, the art, everything was just so sweet and inspiring- classic disney! Well... that was quite a something. But back to your art... I really love this piece. You usually see , you know, white girls in these types of artwork, or really, almost all types of artwork. The work on this is fabulous, and just goes to show a probably more realistic and arguably more beautiful version of modern beauty. Excellent job!
I got the flower patterns from this art magazine that gives out free patterns! They have the magazine at the school bookstore! So if you have photoshop you can go get it Frenchie ~ Only Great good can come out of it.... My young apprentice.
